Field Name Setup

There are 7 price levels, 7 cost levels, and 3 core levels tracked in the part record. The FIELD NAME SETUP screen is used to select up to 7 price levels most often used for easy editing on the part maintenance screens, and to optionally enter custom names for all the price fields to better identify each level. The screen is also used to optionally enter custom names for the current and last year's part history fields.

Price Field Names

SHOW IN INVENTORY

Determines the price levels that will display on the MAIN PART ENTRY and PART PRICE ENTRY screens. Regardless whether checked or unchecked, all levels are available throughout the rest of the application as applicable.

 

  • Checked - Up to 7 levels can be selected. Only checked levels are displayed in the MAIN PART ENTRY and PART PRICE ENTRY screens. 
  • Unchecked - The level does not display.

 

CUSTOM NAME

Enter up to 15 alphanumeric and special characters that are used to identify each of the part and core pricing, and cost levels. The custom names are used throughout the application wherever the level is displayed.

 

  • 'PRICE 1-7'
  • 'CUR COST'
  • 'AVG COST'
  • 'LAST COST'
  • 'VNDR COST 1-4'
  • 'CORE SELL'
  • 'CORE COST'
  • 'CORE AVG COST'

History Names / Last History Names

CUSTOM NAME

Optionally enter a custom name to identify each of the part history fields. The custom names are used in the Purchase Order Detail screen when editing/receiving Purchase Orders.

 

Note: The "Monthly" custom names entered in the FIELD NAME SETUP screen display on the PART HISTORY screen, however, the "Quarterly" names are displayed by the system and cannot be changed.

 

Depending on the 'AGE INVENTORY' setup, the history fields will display as:

 

Monthly - Calendar or Fiscal months:

 

  • 'History Names': 'HISTORY 1-12'
  • 'Last History Names': 'LAST HISTORY 1-12'

 

 

Quarterly - For quarters per year:

 

  • 'History Names': 'QTR 01 - QTR 04'
  • 'Last History Names': 'QTR 01 - QTR 04'
