Catalog Vendor Setup

The Catalog Vendor Setup screen allows the selection the manufacturers' product lines to establish a catalog lookup within his location and print the Catalog Setup Report that reports the user's catalog setups.

Note: The catalog screen and associated setup screens that are accessible depends on the catalog purchased and set up for PartsWatch.

 

Available Manufacturers

Displays the available manufacturers' coverages from which to choose to create catalog lookup setups. Once selected, the coverage is removed from the grid and only displays in the 'Selected Manufacturer Coverages' grid when the line code specification and priority are assigned.

 

Manufacturer Name Text Box
Used to select the manufacturer's product line to establish a Catalog lookup within the location. To populate the list of 'Available Manufacturer Coverages', enter the manufacturer name in the field and press 'Enter' or click 'Get Coverages', or double-click a name from the list in the 'Manufacturer Name' grid.


Manufacturer Name Grid
Lists all available manufacturers. The grid automatically populates upon opening with all available Catalog manufacturers from the Catalog server. Double-click a name to populate the 'Available Manufacturer Coverages' grid with specific 'Manufacturer Coverages' and the 'Selected Manufacturer Coverages' grid with selected coverages (if any had been previously selected).


Get Coverages
Adds the selected manufacturer in the 'Manufacturer Name' field to the 'Available Manufacturer Coverages' grid, when clicked.

 

Print Sort

Indicates how the report is sorted:

 

Options are:

 

  • 'Manufacturer' - Sorts the report based on the contents in the 'Manufacturer Column'.

  • 'User Code' - Sorts the report based on the contents in the 'User Code' column.

Available Manufacturer Coverages

Displays all available manufacturer coverages for the selected Manufacturer. Once a line code and priority are assigned and the 'Add Coverage' button is clicked, the coverage is removed from the 'Available Manufacturer Coverages' grid and only displays in the 'Selected Manufacturer Coverages' grid.

 

Catalog Code
Displays the manufacturer's product line catalog code.


Suggested
Displays the catalog code suggested by the Catalog Server.


Order Num
Displays the order number obtained from the Catalog Server.


Price Code
Displays the Price Code obtained from the Catalog Server.


Prices Available
Displays the available price levels obtained from the Catalog Server.


Effective Date
Displays the price effective date. 


Price Desc
Displays the pricing description obtained from the Catalog Server.


Add Coverage
Once a 'User Code' and 'Priority' are assigned, adds the selected manufacturer to the 'Selected Manufacturer Coverages' grid. The 'Available Manufacturer Coverages' grid of the manufacturer coverages redisplays with the first line being selected. This may not always be the desired selection, so repositioning the selected line may be required.


User Code
Used to assign a line code. Select the manufacturer coverage and enter a line code within the 'Selected Manufacturer Coverages' grid. When the suggested line code is the same for the manufacturer coverages, such as 'Ray', make additional selections by repeatedly clicking the 'Add Coverage' button. This method of entry captures the same priority for each coverage entered unless a modification is made to the priority.


Note: To edit or change a  line code, the selected line must first be deleted. Re-enter the coverage with the new line code.

 

Priority

Assigns the priority to the manufacturer coverage. Select the manufacturer coverage and enter a priority within the 'Selected Manufacturer Coverages' grid. Establishes primary and secondary lookup priorities. 

 

  • Primary lookups values are a numeric range from 1 - 9. Primary lookup results automatically display upon completion of the group/subgroup and vehicle selections when looking up parts for a vehicle in the Catalog at Point-of-Sale.

  • Secondary lookups values are an alphabetic range from A - I. Secondary lookups are only accomplished by clicking the 'Sec Lines' button when looking up parts for a vehicle in the Catalog at Point-of-Sale.

Selected Manufacturer Coverage

Displays the manufacturer coverages that have line code specification and priority assigned.

 

Catalog Desc
Displays the manufacturer's product line catalog description.


User Code
Displays the user code that was assigned in the 'User Code' field.


Priority

Displays the priority that was assigned to the manufacturer coverage in the 'Priority' field. Coverages that were designated as primary are numbered 1 through 9. Coverages that were designated as secondary are lettered A through I.


Order Num
Displays the order number obtained from the Catalog Server.


Price Code
Displays the 'Price Code' obtained from the Catalog Server.


Prices Available
Displays the available price levels obtained from the Catalog Server.


Effective Date
Displays the price effective date.


Price Desc
Displays the pricing description obtained from the Catalog Server.


Delete Coverage
Removes a selected coverage from the 'Selected Manufacturer Coverages' grid. The selected line is re-inserted into the 'Available Manufacturer Coverages' grid.
