The Promotions Setup screen is used to set up promotional pricing at point-of-sale.

The 'Promotions List' tab displays promotions that exist in the grid.

 

 

Promotion Code
Displays the promotion identifier.

Description
Displays more information about the promotion.

Start Date
Displays the day that the promotion will begin.

End Date
Displays the day that the promotion will end.

Method
Displays the type of promotion that the selected promotion is.

Add
When the 'Add' button is clicked, the 'Add Promotions' window opens, allowing the creation of a promotion.

Edit
Highlight a row in the grid and click the 'Edit' button, a pop-up opens to allow the editing of an existing promotion.

Delete
Highlight a row in the grid and click the 'Delete' button and the promotion is deleted.

The application will prompt to make sure the deletion of the promotion is desired.

Add Promotions Window

The 'Add Promotions' window allows the adding of a promotion to the grid in the 'Promotions List' tab of the Promotions Setup screen. Access the 'Add Promotions' window by clicking the 'Add' button underneath the grid.

 

 

 
Promo Code
Allows for the entry of up to 7 alphanumeric characters to create a unique identifier for the promotion.

Description
Allows for the entry of up to 45 alphanumeric characters to give more information about the promotion.

Start Date
Allows for the entry of the day the promotion becomes effective. Defaults to the current date or the date the campaign it is associated with begins, whichever is later.

End Date
Allows for the entry of the promotions expiration date.

Category
Drop-down field that is used to select the applicable promotion category.

Pricing Type
Drop-down field that is used to select the applicable promotion pricing type.

Prorate
When checked, the application will prorate the sale price.

When unchecked, the application will not prorate the sale price.

Ok
Saves the promotion and closes the window.

Cancel
Closes the window without saving the promotion.
