Account Conversion
The ACCOUNT CONVERSION screen is used to change/convert the account 'PAY TYPE' from 'BALANCE FORWARD' to 'OPEN ITEM' or vice versa if needed.
Menu Path: Utility Options, Account Conversion, ACCOUNT CONVERSION screen

Enter an account in the 'CUSTOMER LOOKUP' field or click the 'CUSTOMER LOOKUP' button to search for an account.
Once an account has been selected:
- The account is locked and cannot be accessed until finished.
- The 'CURRENT PAY TYPE' displays.
Select the 'PAY TYPE' to 'CHANGE PAY TYPE TO' from the drop-down list.
If the 'DEFERRED CORE BILLING' flag is checked for the entered account, the program will display 'OI- STANDARD' and 'OI- STATEMENT PAY' from the 'PAY TYPE' drop-down box only, since Deferred Core Billing accounts cannot be 'BALANCE FORWARD'.
The 'MASTER' and all 'LINKS' will be converted to the same 'PAY TYPE'.
- If an account with the 'ACCOUNT CONTROL' of 'MASTER' is entered in the 'CUSTOMER LOOKUP' field, a 'VIEW LINKS' button will display to view all accounts "linked" to the 'MASTER' before running the conversion.

- If a 'LINKED' account is selected in the 'CUSTOMER LOOKUP' field, the system will prompt that the 'MASTER' will be loaded.

Click the 'UPD' button to initiate the change.
The system will prompt when it has finished.

Each account must be converted separately.
If an account with the 'PAY TYPE' of 'OI- STANDARD' or 'OI- STATEMENT PAY' is changed to 'BALANCE FORWARD', detail on the previous month's or week's transactions is retained until aged. Once aged, past-due transactions are totaled into balance buckets and cannot be recovered by changing the account back to 'OI- STANDARD' or 'OI- STATEMENT PAY'.
