SHOW NIF PARTS BY DEFAULT

Switch that determines whether returned NIF parts are initially hidden or displayed.

  • When checked, NIF parts will be displayed in the search results after searching for a part in a catalog.
  • When unchecked, NIF parts will not be displayed in the search results after searching for a part in the catalog.

Note: It is still possible to toggle NIF parts to display the parts in the CATALOG screen, this switch just determines the default.

  • Checked (default) - Thumbnail images are shown in the catalog results for each part, where available.
  • Unchecked - Thumbnail images are not shown in the catalog results.

  • Unchecked - Does not display vehicle information.

Note: If there is no catalog lookup, choose a vehicle using the 'VEHICLES' button before adding a line item to the invoice reference for the vehicle information to display in the 'VEHICLE' column of the invoice body.

Note: This information also displays above the 'BILL TO:' and 'SHIP TO:' fields on the INVOICE screen.

DEAD END FLITERING

Determines whether or not the UDCF file is used to filter the 'GROUP', 'SUBGROUP', or 'PART TYPE' drop-down fields.

Options are:

  • 'VEHICLE' - System checks, even if a line is not set up in the DCF for the lookup, as long as a vehicle could have a part come up in the selected group, subgroup or part type.

Note: If a part type has no brand set up in the primary DCF but does have a brand set up in the secondary DCF, the part type still displays in the 'PART TYPE' drop-down in the CATALOG screen.

  • 'VEHICLE AND DCF' - System checks what lines are set up in the primary DCF file and only displays a group, subgroup or part type if the lines set up in the DCF have results for that group, subgroup or part type.

Note: If a part type has no brand set up in the primary DCF but does have a brand set up in the secondary DCF, the part type will not display in the 'PART TYPE' drop-down in the CATALOG screen.

ENGINE

Determines whether an engine lookup is performed by the ACES or WHI Catalog.

Options are:

  • 'ACES' - Provides a more user-friendly format for engine choices in the 'ENGINE' drop-down while doing a catalog lookup. Some lookups have fewer engine options that may result in the user being prompted with a counterman question later, if relevant. An engine does not display multiple times with different 'VIN' codes. If the 'VIN' code is required to determine the correct part, a counterman question prompts the user.
  • 'WHI' - Provides engine choices in the 'ENGINE' drop-down while doing a catalog lookup. The same engine displays multiple times with different 'VIN' codes.

DE-DUPE PARTS

When checked, prevents NIF part duplication from occurring in the catalog lookup results.

When unchecked, does not prevent NIF part duplication from showing in the catalog lookup results, and displays all results.
