Store Catalog Options
The STORE CATALOG OPTIONS screen is used to determine the controls set for the different catalog(s) that the store can access at Point-of-Sale.
Menu Path: Controls, Store, Catalog Options, STORE CATALOG OPTIONS screen

This drop-down defaults to 'USE SYSTEM SETTING' and will use the catalog prioritized from the SYSTEM GENERAL SETUP screen.
If a different catalog is specified here, that catalog will be the default catalog for the store, and will override the system setting.
If only one catalog is configured this drop-down will be unavailable.
Sets the default SELL quantity for each item in the CATALOG screen. Setting is exclusive to sale modifiers at Point-of-Sale only, including CL-Clearance, BO-Buyout, COS-Core Sale, DS-Dropship, F-Forward, P-Purchase, QS-Quick Source, S-Sell and SS-Sister Sell, and COE-Core Exchange.
Options are:
-
'PER CAR'
-
'1'
-
'0'
When set to 'PER CAR', if the part being sold does not have a Per Car value, the default Sell Qty will be '1'.
When set to '0', the system always forces entry of a Sell Qty before proceeding.
CATALOG CORE EXCHANGE PROMPT
Displays the catalog core exchange prompt whenever a core part is entered to ask if the customer is returning the core, when checked. If unchecked, enter the E core exchange modifier to sell the part and return the core at the same time.
CATALOG DESC ON SCREEN
Determines whether the description from Catalog or the part file displays in the CATALOG screen. Displays the description from Catalog, when checked. Displays the description from the part file, when unchecked. Applicable to ACES Catalog only.
CATALOG DESC ON INVOICE
Determines whether the description from Catalog or the part file displays in the INVOICE screen. Displays the description from Catalog, when checked. Displays the description from the part file, when unchecked.
CATALOG COUNTERMAN QUESTIONS
Displays vehicle-related questions during catalog lookup, when checked. Does not display vehicle-related questions and assumes a "don't know" response, when unchecked.
Controls whether or not the data in the CATALOG screen is grouped based on the values in the 'QOH' field.
Options are:
-
'YES' - CATALOG screen is grouped based on 'QOH' within each manufacturer code. Items with 'QOH' are listed first, followed by items that are in the inventory file but have a zero (0) or negative 'QOH', followed by NIF items.
-
'NO' - CATALOG screen is not grouped based on the values in the 'QOH' field.
Determines the column that displays in the ACES CATALOG screen and 'INTERCHANGE' window.
Options are:
- 'BIN' - Displays 'BIN' as the column heading and displays the content of the 'BIN' field from the part record, if applicable. (Default)
- 'GP%' - Displays 'GP%' as the column heading and displays the GP% value for each item found from the Catalog and Interchange lookup. The User Security proc 'INVOICE DENY GP%' controls the optional display of the GP%.
- 'CATEGORY' - Displays 'CATEGORY' as the column heading and displays the value found in the 'CATEGORY' field in the MAIN PART ENTRY screen, or the value from the non-SKU record, if applicable. Note: 'CATEGORY' is a user-defined field in the part record. If the business has a company-owned distribution center, this field could be used to indicate parts that are carried by the DC, thereby encouraging employees to source parts available from a company-owned location rather than parts only available from a third-party source.
- 'NONE' - Hides the extra column for users that do not want the 'BIN', 'GP%', or 'CATEGORY' to display on the CATALOG screen.
AUTO SELECT "DON'T KNOW" ENGINE
Determines whether the Engine value defaults to 'DON'T KNOW'. Defaults to 'DON'T KNOW', when checked. Does not default to any selection, when unchecked, and a selection must be made (one of which is 'DON'T KNOW'). Defaults to checked. Applicable to ACES Catalog only.
TIRE REGION
Identifies the 'REGION ID' used by the store if the 'REGION ID' is set up in the TIRE CHAIN MAINTENANCE screen.
