Stocking Level Edit

The Stocking Level Edit screen is used to edit stocking levels ('Min', 'Max', and 'Order Point') across stores, while viewing part information on the part, including parts that do not exist in stores but exist in the Virtual Inventory (VI) file. User Security permission allows/disallows access to the menu/screen.

Line

When the screen is accessed via the right-click command menu, automatically populates with the line from which the right-click was initiated. 


When the screen is accessed via the menu, displays blank to allow selection of a line. Click the button to display the 'Browse Line Codes' window. 


When the screen is accessed from a right-click menu item on the Purchase Order screen, the 'PO #' displays below the 'Line' field.


P/N
When the screen is accessed via the right-click command menu, automatically populates with the part from which the right-click was initiated. 


When the screen is accessed via the menu, displays blank to allow selection of a part. Click the button to display the 'Find Part' window.


When the screen is accessed from a right-click menu item on the Purchase Order screen, the 'PO #' displays below the 'P/N' field.


Description
Displays the part description. Field displays when the 'P/N' field is populated, when the 'Prev' or 'Next' button is clicked and the part number changes.


The 'Description' fields support up to 255 characters.


Supersedes
Displays the superseded part ('Line' and 'P/N').


Displays a scroll-able list of the superseded parts when a stocked part or a non-stocked part is entered in the store's inventory that supersedes multiple stocked parts and/or multiple non-stocked parts in the store's inventory.


This field only displays when a stocked part or a non-stocked part is entered in the store's inventory that supersedes a stocked part or a non-stocked part in the store's inventory.


Does not display for virtual inventory.


Unlinked History / Linked History
Displays only the sales history from the supersede part.


Displays the combined sales history of both the supersede and superseded part.


This field only displays when the 'Supersedes' field is populated.


Does not display for virtual inventory.


History Periods
Determines the histories that display.


Options are:

 

  • 'By Months' - Displays 48 closed monthly histories in order from most recent to oldest.

  • 'By Quarters' - Displays four years of quarterly history starting with the most recently closed quarter and going back four years. For example, during the first quarter of 2016, the columns would be Q4 2015, Q3 2015, Q2 2015, Q1 2015, Q4 2014, Q3 2014, Q2 2014, Q1 2014, Q4 2013, Q3 2013, Q2 2013, Q1 2013, Q4 2012, Q3 2012, Q2 2012, Q1 2012.

  • 'By Years' - Displays the most recently closed four years of yearly history using the year as the label, followed by rolling 12 month and rolling 24 month history using the labels 'ROLL 12' and 'ROLL 24'.

 

Show Current Period

Displays a column before the history periods that contains the value of the history period in progress, when checked. (Default)


Based on the option selected in the 'History Periods' field, one of the values displays: 

 

  • 'By Months' - Outputs the sales history for the current month-in-progress. (For example, OCT)

  • 'By Quarters' - Outputs the sales history for the current quarter-in-progress. (For example, Q4 2015)

  • 'By Years' - Outputs the sales history for the current year-in-progress. (For example: 2015)

 

The column does not display when unchecked.

 

Lost Sales
Determines if the value of lost sales is included in the history period.


Options are: 

 

  • 'Included' - Includes the value of lost sales from the history period in each history period column along with the sales history.
  • 'Exclude' - History period columns only reflect sales history and not the value of lost sales.
  • 'Only' - Each history period column reflects only lost sales for that period and not sales history. 


Change Values for All Locations
Sets all displayed stores to the edited value, when checked and any field in any row is edited. 


Updates the value in the edited row/store only, when unchecked and any field in any row is edited.


Values are not saved until either the 'Upd' button is clicked, an attempt is made to exit the screen, or attempts to go to another part and 'Yes' is clicked in the "Save Changes?" prompt.


Smart Page
Displays a window with diagram and other details about the part when Smart Page information is available, when clicked. A pop-up displays stating "No Smart Page data was found for this part" when no Smart Page data is available.

 

A link displays after a valid part has been selected in the screen and the ACES Catalog is enabled in the store. 

 

Grid

Right-click on a highlighted item row in the grid to display the command menu.

 

Loc
Displays the location number of the store.


City
Displays the city as indicated in the Store General Setup screen.


QOH
Displays the quantity on hand amount from the Main Part Entry screen. 


Displays:

 

  • Numeric total when parts are in the store's file.

  • Virtual Inventory (VI) when parts are not in the store's file but exist in the Virtual Inventory file. VI parts can be added to the store's inventory file from this screen. When any one of 'Min', 'Max', 'OP', or 'DNR' fields is populated in a row, the part is automatically created in that row's store. The part is created with any available fields from the VI file plus any fields populated by the user in the Stocking Level Edit screen. If a field is populated in the Stocking Level Edit screen that is also populated in the VI file, the entry from the Stocking Level Edit screen is the entry that is stored in the part record.

  • 'NIF' when parts are in neither the store's file nor the Virtual Inventory file. NIF parts cannot be added to the store's inventory file from this screen.

 

Qty Avl

Displays the 'Qty Available' from the Main Part Entry screen.

 

OnOrd / VBO
Displays the 'On Order' from the Main Part Entry screen.

 

My Qty
View-only column that denotes the quantity on order for the current store. For example, store 1 creates a distributed order for stores 1, 2 and 3 so that Part ABC 123 has an order quantity of 6, 2 of which are for store 1. Part ABC 123 in store 1 would show an 'On Ord' = 6 and a 'My Qty' =2.


For any part only contained within open single store POs and/or Multi-Store Consolidated POs, the value of 'On Ord' and 'My Qty will be the same.


For any part also contained in any Multi-Store Distributed POs, the values may be different.


Min
Displays the 'Min' from the Main Part Entry screen.


Max
Displays the 'Max' from the Main Part Entry screen.


OP
Displays the 'Order Point' from the Main Part Entry screen.

 

Supersede
Displays the 'Line' and 'P/N' value of the superseding part number, if any, from the 'Alt'/'Sup'/'VCO' pop-up, accessed from the Main Part Entry screen.

 

DNR
Displays the value of the 'DNR' field from the Main Part Entry screen.
 
SClass
Displays the 2-character 'Sales Class' value from the Main Part Entry screen.

 

Min Sell
Displays the minimum sell quantity.


Last Sold
Displays the last date that the part was sold.


Last Xfer In
Displays the last date that the part was on an incoming order request from a 'Transfer' account.


Last Xfer Out
Displays the last date that the part was on an outgoing order request from a 'Transfer' account.


[Current Period]
Reports the value of the 'Current' monthly, yearly, or quarterly history period of the part when 'Show Current Period' is checked. When unchecked, the column is not reported.


[Histories Columns]

Reports the Histories options selected in the 'History Periods' and 'Lost Sales' fields.


Totals
Displays the totals of the 'Tot Stk', 'Qty Avl', 'On Ord', 'Min', 'Max', 'OP' and all history periods columns.
