Catalog Overview

PartsWatch supports several catalogs. For three of those catalogs, data from the vendor displays in the PW application UI (Epicor, TecAlliance, and ACES). There are three other catalogs (ePartConnection, Federated, and Nexpart) that use an embedded website inside the PartsWatch application to display Catalog results. A seventh catalog is specific to the Alliance and their own accessory parts using a different user interface. The following topic is about the functions that are shared between the catalogs that display in the PartsWatch application user interface.

When ALLeCAT functionality is enabled, the Alliance Supplies & Accessories Catalog, a non-application catalog that returns data for parts that are not vehicle specific, such as tools, is also available to stores in the database from the PartsWatch application via a system control. The system control is set by a System Administrator and is not accessible from the PartsWatch application.
