System Reports

The System Reports screen is used to generate multiple reports, including the 'Employee Setup Report', 'Employee List Report', 'System Security Setup Report', and 'Security Plan Comparison Report'.

Quick Reporting Options

Employee Setup Report
Generates the 'Employee Setup Report' that is used to report permissions and information on specific employees.


Employee List Report
Generates the 'Employee List Report' that is used to list information about specific employees.


System Security Setup Report
Generates the 'System Security Setup Report' that is used to output a list of security plan settings by Group type.


Security Plans Comparison Report
Generates the 'Security Plans Comparison Report' used to compare two security plans in order to see the similarities and differences between them.


Mode 2 Status Detail
Generates the 'Mode 2 Status Detail Report' used to identify the Mode 2 operations of the machines in stores.


Mode 2 Status Summary
Generates the 'Mode 2 Status Summary Report' used to identify the 'Host' or 'Subscriber' status of machines in stores, and to identify the last successful Mode 2 download.

Report Criteria

Employee
A button used to optionally narrow the 'Employee Setup Report' and 'Employee List Report' to a single employee.


When the field is accessed, the 'Browse Employees' window opens to select a single employee.

 

Leave the field blank for all employees.

 

Appears in the 'Report Criteria' section only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.

 

Employee Types

Drop-down field that allows selection from different employee types, from the following list:

 

  • 'All'

  • 'Corporate'

  • 'Manager'

  • 'Asst Manager'

  • 'Cashier'

  • 'Phone Room Rep'

  • 'Driver'

  • 'Salesman'

 

Appears in the 'Report Criteria' section only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.

 

Plan
Field that reports one or all of the security plans. Defaults to 'All'.

 

Appears in the 'Report Criteria' section only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.

 

Access

Used to report the plan's security per Task Type, with the following selections:

 

  • 'Disabled'

  • 'View Only'

  • 'Enabled/Edit'

  • 'Hidden'

 

Appears in the 'Report Criteria' section only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.

 

Task Type

Used to report one or all tasks/restrictions by the way they are identified in the User Security Setup screen. These selections are:

 

  • 'Form' (menus that open to other (sub) menus).

  • 'Proc' (non-menu processes).

  • 'Menu' (menus that directly open screens).

  • 'All'

 

Appears in the 'Report Criteria' section only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.

 

Include Defaults
When this field is checked, task types that use the system default and have not been set by are included in the report output.


When this field is left unchecked, pre-set task types are not included in the report output.

Plan 1
Used to select a security plan to compare to another plan ('Plan 2').

 

Appears in the 'Report Criteria' section only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.


Plan 2
Used to select a security plan to compare to another plan ('Plan 1').

 

Appears in the 'Report Criteria' section only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.


Sort By
Determines how the report output is sorted, either by 'Access', 'Group', 'Title', or 'Task Type'.

 

These options appear only if the 'Employee Setup Report' button or the 'Employee List Report' buttons are clicked.

 

<run time>
Only displays when the 'Mode 2 Status Report - Detail' or the 'Mode 2 Status Report - Summary' are selected.

 

Location
Multi-select field that allows selection of a location for the report output. Defaults to the current location.


Device Type
Drop-down that allows the user to filter by the designation of the machine from the Terminal Setup screen.


Options are:

 

  • 'Host'

  • 'Unassigned'

  • 'Subscriber'


Sort By
Allows selection of how the report will be sorted when run.


Options are:

 

  • 'Loc, Terminal Name'

  • 'Loc, Device Type'

 

These options appear only if the 'Mode 2 Summary Report' button or the 'Mode 2 Detail Report' buttons are clicked.

 

Show Fail Only
A checkbox that determines if the report will show devices with a failed upload or download status.

 

When checked, the report shows machines that have a failed upload or download status only.

 

When unchecked, the report shows all machines.

Employee Setup Report

The following is an example of the 'Employee Setup Report':

 

 

 
Emp Code
Reports the employee code.

Employee Name
Reports the employee name, first name first, followed by last name.

Job Type
Reports the job type.

Employee Types
Reports the possible employee types, underneath and in the same column as 'Job Type'.

Note: Since there are possibly four types that can be selected for an employee, employee types will be separated by a slash (/) if there are more than one associated with that employee.

Default Location
Reports the default location from the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Store Group
Reports the store group from the 'Employee Security Setup' window, underneath and in the same column as 'Default Location'.

Security Group
Reports the security group from the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Inv Cost
Reports the values of 'ShowAsIs' or 'Scramble' depending on the value set from the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Force New
Reports the force new yes/no flag from the 'Force New Password' field on the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Last PW
Reports the date of the last password change, underneath and in the same column as 'Force New', from the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Lockout User
Reports the lockout user yes/no flag, set from the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Last Lockout
Reports the date of the last lockout, underneath and in the same column as 'Lockout User', from the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Reason
Reports the reason for the last lockout, underneath and in the same column as 'Last Lockout' from the 'Employee Security Setup' window.

Employee List Report

Emp Code
Reports the employee code.

Employee Name

System Security Setup Report

Group
Reports the group identified under 'Applied Restrictions / Unapplied Restrictions' on the User Security Setup screen.

Task Title
Reports the name of the 'Form', 'Proc', or 'Menu' restriction or menu and the title identified under 'Applied Restrictions / Unapplied Restrictions' on the User Security Setup screen.

Access
Reports the plan's permissions from the 'Access' identified under 'Applied Restrictions / Unapplied Restrictions' on the User Security Setup screen.

Type
Reports the restriction type from the following selections:

 - 'Form'
 - 'Proc'
 - 'Menu'

Set
Reports 'Yes' if task types have been set, and reports a blank space if there are preset defaults not set.

Security Plans Comparison Report

Type
Reports the restriction type from the following selections:

 - 'Form'

 - 'Menu'

Note: Only the first instance of each type is output. The 'Type' is blank for subsequent rows directly underneath it with the same type.

Group
Reports the group identified under 'Applied Restrictions / Unapplied Restrictions' on the User Security Setup screen.

Task Title

Mode 2 Status Report - Detail

Loc
Reports the location that was selected from the <run time> section.

Terminal Name
Reports the terminal name that is set up in the Terminal Setup screen.

Device #
Reports the device number that is set up in the Terminal Setup screen.

Device Type
Reports the device type, either 'Host', 'Subscriber', or 'Unassigned'. Reports 'Unassigned' when neither the 'Host' nor 'Subscriber' checkbox is checked in the Terminal Setup screen.

Last Download Date/Time
Reports the date and time of the last download attempted.

Download Status
Reports the status of the last download, either 'Success' or 'Failure'.

Last Upload Date/Time
Reports the date and time of the last upload attempted.

# Recs Uploaded
Reports the number of Mode 2 invoices uploaded when the application came back online.

Upload Status
Reports the status of the last upload, either 'Success' or 'Failure'.

Mode 2 Status Report - Summary

The following is an example of the 'Mode 2 Status Report - Summary':

 

 

 
Loc
Reports the locations selected to print.

Last Master Download Status
Reports the date / time of the last successful download for a device designated as a 'Host' in the Terminal Setup screen.

If a location has multiple desktops designated as a 'Host', only the last successful date / time will display. For example:

 - If there are two desktops designated as 'Host', and both the first and second successfully download, the date / time will represent the successful download of the second.
 - If there are two desktops designated as 'Host', and the first fails to download, but the second succeeds, the date / time will represent the successful download of the second.
 - If there are two desktops designated as 'Host', and the first successfully downloads, but the second fails to download, the date / time will represent the successful download of the first.
 - If there are two desktops designated as 'Host', and both the first and second fail to download, the date / time will represent the last successful download of either the first or second. However, if both have never had a successful download, then a value of 'Never' will be displayed.
