Print Labels
The Print Labels function allows single-store and multi-store price label printing for parts with price changes and on demand price label printing for any item at any time for any reason.
The Print Labels screen is used to identify, stage and print price or shelf labels for retail displayed parts and products. For multi-store printing, headers and footers can also be printed to identify labels to separate the store batches. The screen provides three options in separate tabbed windows: 'Price Change Labels', 'Labels on Demand', and 'Shelf Labels'. The 'Price Change Labels' tab only populates with items that had price changes and have the 'Display Item' field checked in the Main Part Entry screen. The 'Labels on Demand' tab allows the specification of a default number of labels to print for items regardless of whether they had price changes or whether the 'Display Label Qty' field is populated.

Price Change Labels
The 'Price Change Labels' tab allows the printing of labels when prices change on a retail account display item. The program uses the default invoice account as the default retail account to establish the selling price to retail customers. Part of this account is a default price level that represents the default selling level for price labels.
A price change may result from a:
-
Change of the Price Level data on an item
-
Distributed Price Update
-
Change to the Retail Default Pricing Plan
Printing a label for one part, one line or part of a line evaluates the prices, updates, as necessary, and then prints the corresponding labels as per the user selection.
For both single and multi-store printing, the label only prints a shelf label if the 'Qty Available' or the 'Min'/'Max'/'Order Point' is greater than zero. The maximum dollar amount that can display is 9999.99.
The application differentiates a part that was scanned by an RF device versus regular parts that have had a price change that were not scanned. This allows all parts or just the scanned parts be printed.
Note: Labels scanned with an RF device should be printed on the same day they were scanned to minimize the risk of being removed by the nightly label process.
Use to print shelf labels for items with price changes. Items must also have the 'Display Label Qty' field checked, and have one or more of 'Qty Available', 'Min', 'Max', or 'Order Point' populated. Price labels are generated from the labels table.

The Price Labels module uses the Price Labels Account set in the 'Labels Retail Account' field in the Enterprise General Setup screen to calculate prices.
If no account has been set in the Enterprise General Setupscreen, then the Price Labels module uses the default account in the 'Default Account' field in the Store Invoice Options screen, 'Standard' tab.
If the price for a part that already has a price label changes for any reason at all, the old price label is expired and a new record with the new price is written to the 'pricelabels' table.
